Purchasing Assistant/ junior buyer

we are looking for a Purchasing assistant /Junior buyer based in Langley and HYbrid role
paying 30k to 35k
Due to the expansion of the clients business, we require an experienced Purchasing Assistant/Junior Buyer, you will have good communication skills, be self-motivated to meet deadlines and be able to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with stakeholders and suppliers. The role involves a wide range of duties to Support the Procurement Director and supply chain. You will need to be a strong administrator who loves to close all tasks on a timely basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all incoming requisitions and POs, interact between Buyers and request holders
• Interface between excel database and D365 platform to manage all requisitions
• Purchase goods and services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets
• Support the Purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply risks and problems.
• Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes and activities.
• Supplier onboarding
• Monitor market trends
• Provide analysis on costs
• Prepare reports and updates
• Prepare and raise purchase orders and maintain order schedules
• Compile data relating to supplier performance to enable evaluation
• D365 super user and development of system and procedures
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes including anti-bribery policy and Environmental and Quality Management System (compliant with ISO 9001 and 14001).

Skills/ Experience Required:

• Experience within a Supply Chain role or within a strong administrator role
• Experienced in Dynamics 365 Purchasing or a similar system and scheduling modules
• Able to use MS Excel at intermediate level and able to use all MS Outlook, Word, etc.
• Analytical and numerically astute
• Able to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks and achieve goals
• Attention to detail
• CIPS qualified or working towards is desirable
• Self-driven, focused, results and quality-oriented
• Team player, innovative with sound judgement and solutions-driven
• Able to approach work with positive energy and integrity
• Effective communication both verbally and in written form
• Computer literate. Must be a proficient user of Microsoft suite of packages including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint, where needed.
